Max started tattooing in 2009. He apprenticed in St Albans under Phil Rowley for 6 years and then went on to open Titan Tattoos in Watford. After another 3 years he moved onto The Crooked Rook in Hemel Hempstead for a further 6-7 years. Eventually The Crooked Rook became so popular that it expanded to a sister studio, The Rook, located just 7 minutes from its big brother. Max has achieved many things in the industry including; raising nearly £10k for charity, tattooing 150+ people in 24 hours, tattooing live on radio 4, featured in several local news items, invited to tattoo at Download Festival for the 3rd consecutive year to name but a few. He has tattooed members of the bands Slipknot, Busted, Gallows, The Hunna, and countless others. He loves tattooing and values the execution of detail and contrast in his work.
